What types of personal data are processed?
Monte dos Avós, within the scope of its activities, processes personal data necessary for the provision of services and/or supply of products, as well as, in terms of social intervention, processing data such as name, address, telephone number and email address, as detailed information is provided to personal data subjects.
Without prejudice to compliance with legal regulations regarding the retention and transmission of data for the purposes of investigation, detection, and prosecution of serious crimes, as well as other processing to which it is legally obliged, the traffic, geographic location, profile and/or consumption data of the Client/Users will be processed by Monte dos Avós to the extent that they are necessary for the respective provision of services. Thus, based on location, profile and/or consumption, the Client/User will have access, in particular, to specific service functionalities, content suggestions and proximity information services.
Location information may also be recorded and transmitted to organizations legally authorized to receive emergency calls, for the purpose of responding to incoming calls.
Personal data, traffic data, geographic location, profile and/or consumption data are also processed for marketing purposes or to promote offers of goods or services from Monte dos Avós, if the respective data subject has authorized it.
Personal data will also be processed, if the respective data subject has authorized it, for the purpose of disseminating information services and lists, within the scope of the universal service, including transmission to third parties for publication of said lists and provision of information services.

Monte dos Avós may also, provided it is legally permissible, use the personal data provided by the data subject for other purposes, such as sending suggestions, disseminating institutional information about the brand, publicizing campaigns, promotions, advertising and news about Monte dos Avós products and/or services, as well as for conducting market research or evaluation surveys.
How long do we keep your personal data?

What measures does Monte dos Avós take to ensure the security of your personal data?
Monte dos Avós is committed to ensuring the protection and security of the personal data provided to it, having approved and implemented strict rules in this regard. Compliance with these rules is an obligation for all those who legally access them.
Given Monte dos Avós’ concern and commitment to protecting personal data, several security measures, both technical and organizational, have been adopted to protect the personal data made available to it against its dissemination, loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorized processing or access, as well as against any other form of unlawful processing.
Furthermore, third-party entities that, within the scope of service provision, process the Client/User’s personal data on behalf of and for Monte dos Avós, are obligated, in writing, to implement appropriate technical and security measures that, at any given time, meet the requirements of current legislation and ensure the protection of the data subject’s rights (in particular, the protection of the privacy and personal data of Clients/Users).
In this regard, on the Monte dos Avós website, the forms for collecting personal data require encrypted browser sessions, and all personal data provided is securely stored in Monte dos Avós’ systems, which in turn are located on Monte dos Avós’ server, under the protection of all physical and logical security measures that Monte dos Avós deemed essential for the protection of personal data.

When this happens, Monte dos Avós takes appropriate measures to ensure that the entities that have access to the data are reputable and offer the highest guarantees at this level, which is duly enshrined and safeguarded contractually between Monte dos Avós and the third-party entity(ies).
Thus, any entity subcontracted by Monte dos Avós will process the personal data of our Clients/Users, on behalf of and for the account of Monte dos Avós, adopting the necessary technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, alteration, dissemination or unauthorized access, and against any other form of unlawful processing.

Under what circumstances do we transfer your personal data?
The provision of certain services by Monte dos Avós may involve the transfer of your data outside of Portugal, including outside the European Union or to International Organizations.
